We understand the difficulties foreigners can have when building abroad. If it’s not the infamous Spanish bureaucracy that seems a big hurdle, it might be the communication with a contractor in a foreign language. Just going through the quotations from several (sub)contractors is a huge task if you don’t understand the language well.
To avoid all these obstacles, we can manage your building project from beginning to end. If you want, we can start with the site selection, and go through the (dis)advantages of each location you have in mind. We then start the design process (more about this in its separate chapter). With the design done, we will then look for several suitable contractors to give detailed quotations. In the meantime, we will make sure the building permit is requested and that all the necessary paperwork is submitted to the proper authorities.
Of course, we will also assist you with all the different choices you have to make regarding the installations in your house (e.g., heating, water, pool, solar power, and so forth).
Together, we will then discuss the quotations and decide upon a contractor. As the contractor starts we will monitor the quality and progress of the work, and keep you continually informed. We will certify the contractor’s invoices, and make sure that you pay only for work that has already been done. And we will troubleshoot all the problems that normally arise during construction.
